MOTORKHANA
MOTORKHANA

Motorkhanas are regarded as an introductory level event offering the ideal entry point into motor-sport. Motorkhanas offer competitors the opportunity to take part in a less formalised event and are an ideal next step for any junior driver having undertaken the MADCC Junior Driver Development program. They are also great fun for adult drivers.

A Motorkhana is designed to test the acceleration, braking and general manoeuvrability of a vehicle, and the skill and judgement of the driver. At MADCC Motorkhanas are conducted on an unsealed surface utilising the club’s trailer park. The object of the competition is for each driver to complete all the tests of the program in the prescribed manner, in the shortest possible time, without incurring penalties.

Motorkhana is conducted in first and occasionally reverse gear and thus the risk level is considered as “low”. Parents, guardians or a MADCC Junior Driver Development Program instructor may accompany an inexperienced junior driver on the tests. Helmets are optional given the low-risk nature of the event.

Motorkhanas are the ideal family day out and offer both senior and junior drivers the opportunity to develop their driving skills.
