KHANACROSS
KHANACROSS

Khanacrosses are regarded as an intermediate-level event providing an alternate motor-sport option to hill climbs. Khanacrosses are very popular for the variety they provide and are considered an ideal training ground for those looking to do hill climbs and even car rallies in the future. For junior drivers, Khanacrosses provide a next step option for those that have competed in Motorkhanas and completed the MADCC Junior Driver Development program.

A Khanacross involves a series of timed tests of various layouts, where no straight section of the course may exceed 100 metres in length without a turn of at least 90°. Each test is designed to test the acceleration, braking and general manoeuvrability of the vehicle and the skill and judgement of the driver. The object of the competition is for each driver to complete all the tests of the program in the prescribed manner, in the shortest possible time, without incurring penalties. At MADCC Khanacrosses are conducted on an unsealed surface utilising the club’s trailer park, parts of the Hillclimb track and adjacent forest tracks.

Khanacrosses are the ideal family day out and offer both senior and junior drivers the opportunity to develop their driving skills.
